News! News! News!

My book cover!!

Hello everyone!!

I am soo sorry that I haven't posted for almost a year!! I have been working at a book that I have published with Kindle and have divided it into two books instead of one! The book expands on many of the subjects that I have already written about in my previous posts. I would say that it is a romantic story  of two couples with different backgrounds and secrets, that don't quite appear as they seem to be. Although it is not just romance and it includes a journey towards morals, love and self discovery. Also don't expect it to be neither cheesy nor overly sugar coated. It is a modern love story with a strong message for the young and a reminder to the more mature demographic of  the importance of prejudices, love, self worth, unity and of course: family.

If you want to check it out I would TRULY appreciate it!! It is my first book and I am very excited about it but most importantly I would LOVE to hear what you think about it so don't hesitate to leave reviews or comments on this post.

She was the daughter of a simple district administrator, who managed the lands of her future husband. She had embodied in her all of the good qualities of her family, so much people thought she was a blessing to her family and friends.

She was a very pretty young lady, but most of all she had a beautiful heart and soul. She was pure, lovely and enchanting. Her warm smile was capable of melting the coldest of hearts and the harshest of stares.

Everyone in the neighbourhood strongly believed that she would marry a prince charming kind of man but an elder man sitting at his doorstep reading a book would always smile at such comments and say:”If only I knew as much as you all know”. Hearing all this the young man who had a desperate crush on the girl would beg the elder to say more but he would get up and add before closing the door to his house:” I can only speak the truth, son”.

The Doctor's Wife

We talked a little bit in my last post about the doctor’s wife. We already know that she was the daughter of a well known business man. Her father owned a good amount if land, where he had a built several houses. Rumour had it that they were of German and Dutch descendant; either ways they didn't care too much about it as their inheritance was more important to them. Since managing their wealth is all they wanted they didn't even bother approaching higher education. Since the inheritance had been very important to them they planned of not having too many children as it would cause turmoil dividing the wealth between their children; at least according to them.

Their obsession towards their wealth ran as deep as to actually fog their vision and make them lose their inner humanity; rumour had it that the doctor’s wife had left his wife’s mother without a care taker knowing she was ill for the sole reason that it was a period in which they needed his assistance at the farms. If this wasn't enough when his wife’s mother died instead of actually being there for her he would stand at the door complaining why nobody congratulated him on such a very well done job…

Are you proud of your family? Pt 2

The policeman's daughter was tall with a slender body; she had a side-swept short hairstyle accompanied by a confident way of walking. The doctor’s daughter on the other hand was very different. She was of medium height and very thin. She had a broad forehead and underdeveloped body according to her age. She looked a lot like her father. But what we really want to know is how these two girls were brought up.

The doctor’s wife was a woman in her early 50’s. She would wear a detached expression all the time and would dress up as expensively as possible. Rumour goes, she came from a rich and courteous family.

The policeman’s wife was the same age as the doctor’s wife. She would always dress sporty and used to be a Physical Education teacher at her daughter’s high school. She wasn't too difficult to understand. She was friendly and all smiles, exactly like her daughter. She was known as the town’s basketball player’s daughter. So what was the difference between the two families? Simple: In the policeman’s household everything was a mirror of the parents, while on the doctor’s family every action was a mirror of society’s expectations.

Are You Proud Of Your Family Pt 1

Do you still remember my little story of the Policeman and Doctor? Well, I wanted to add something to that story that I left untold the other time.

The policeman was loved and respected by everyone on the neighborhood as he was always polite and caring towards them. They felt safe when he was around because they trusted him. On the other hand they wouldn’t feel the same about the doctor. He would always walk proudly in front of his neighbors and never greet them. He would glance at them from afar coldly as if looking at his next patient. This might have been a normal behavior for him but to his neighbors he gave off a feeling of detachment and ambiguity.

One day after having witness the neighbors behavior the doctor’s daughter asked the policeman:-” Why do people fear my dad and respect you, Mister? Is it because my dad is too rigid?”

The man knowing that his daughter was there listening answered: -“ Maybe because I don’t know how to use a syringe!”

The doctor’s daughter was not convinced by just that though.

After hugging the policeman daughter goodbye she went home. At that time the policeman daughter’s recalled what her dad once told her:” Having a profession means having the ability to do something very well not imposing fake authority on other people’s eyes.”

Family Time

Today I would like to say before sharing a story of mine, which doesn’t directly involve me but still in a way it does, that I came from a happy family and so I tried to make my family feel: Happy.

No let’s start our story: When I was young I knew two families which had a very good relationship with each other even though they didn't have much in common regarding their backgrounds and interests. They were neighbors. One of the family’s wives had a doctor for a husband and the other a policeman. What they had in common was that both families had each a daughter at the same age in the same class at school together with excellent grades, both of them. The girls were very close with one another and would always stay at each others houses and do their homework together.

One day each of their fathers asked them what was so appealing or worse what exactly did they have in common to spend so much time together. The girls were surprised by that question and said that they didn't see it from that perspective but instead enjoyed their friendship together. One day while the policeman’s daughter was having dinner at their home he asked her:”why would your dad choose to become a policeman”? The girl didn't answer immediately and kept eating quietly. After staying over to finish her homework before leaving she finally answered:” Probably to do a good deed for the society”.

Apparently both families were comfortable with their position and neither felt obliged to act or feel differently at the presence of each other.

Loving Your Family

man wife love wedding in love happy family

It is better to start explaining this beautiful word that many have forgotten about: Family.

It is such a pity that nowadays people have actually put the word family and its memories in the back of their minds. It is sad to see people live an apathetic life with no worries about what they leave behind. It is like they have a forgotten and don’t want to remember even! It is a shame though! Such things shouldn’t be taken for granted. It is part of our natural psychic to want to be part of something. A place where love is given unconditionally and advice and punishment exist to guide us through the ups and down of life and not to actually manipulate us as human beings. If these values are kept intact then our society will better themselves and there will be a day when people won’t be as obscene as they present themselves today. I hope I am not the only one that still hopes for one day to come where everyone will be conscious on how blessed they really are of having such a big supporter: the family.
